My Story

Customer service and a good work ethic were instilled in me at a young age. In 1988, at just 15 years old, I got my first job working in the stockroom at Nordstrom in Seattle WA. I absolutely loved working there (what teenage girl wouldn't??) and I always say I was taught real customer service by the best! Nordstrom wrote the book on service  (literally - its called The Nordstrom Way)  and I was taught things that I still utilize to this day.

 

Aside from my own family and children, I began my career "taking care" of others in 2006 while providing hospice care to my best friend and sister. Not long after she passed, I began doing hospice care for a living. I soon realized that doing for others was what I was meant to do. During this time I met some amazing families who helped me continue doing what I loved for almost 10 more years by way of referring and introducing me to others who needed the service I offered.

In 2015 a position as a House Manager and Personal Assistant presented itself for a lovely couple and their two adorable Labradoodles in West Seattle. I continued to work for them until they moved out of town in 2018.

​

In 2019 I was referred to another wonderful family that resides in the Madison Park neighborhood of Seattle and I began managing their home. I often traveled to their second homes in SunValley and Palm Springs for work. After my first trip to Sun Valley I was smitten. In love with the way of life, fascinated by the people and awe struck by the beauty and magic the Valley bestowed. It was then I told myself "I must be here all the time"......

There is a minimum one hour charge for all services * Fees are then calculated by 15 minute intervals after the first hour * All travel time is billed at the above rates * If I am available, scheduling and paying ahead is offered but only for the upcoming month * I do not book out more than one month at a time unless its overnight house/pet sitting * Prescheduled payments, dates and times are requested by the 3rd of the month*

 

* With at least 3 days advanced notice, I am often available after 5pm on weekdays and after 4pm on Saturdays to assist with dinners, parties, events or airport drop off and pick up * These hours are billed with a 10% surcharge* All work performed on Sundays is billed with a 10% surcharge *

* I accept cash or check made payable to Becky Florian * I also accept Visa, Mastercard and Venmo @beckyinsunvalley * Credit cards will have a 5% surcharge added to cover fees charged by the credit companies*
